These recipes are just a few of my favorite, and they will transform your cooking and have you cooking with “Full of Flava”. Born in Goldsboro North Carolina and spending a lot of time in the kitchen with my mother and grandmother, I developed a love for cooking. I’ve always had a love for cooking and baking, as it brings people together in a distinct way.

 

Cooking is my love language; it’s how I express my love and affection for others. My cuisines are a combination of Eastern North Carolina soul food and Island spices from Jamaica. My unique take on nutrition feeds your mind, body and soul and will have you cooking with “Full of Flava.”

Full of Flava has been a passion project of my mother for quite some time. My mother was my first teacher and first friend. She, often times, expressed her love through her talent for cooking. After a while of being in Jamaica, my mother learned many cultural dishes, including ox tail and jerk chicken, and I enjoyed trying them. Ultimately, I found myself not only wanting to learn the southern soul food of our past, but also the Caribbean dishes that quickly began to signify our future.
